brilliant dining in brasserie + bernard

Wednesday is always my favourite day in a week. one of the reason is because of bernard^^as i posted a short paragraph on him before, he is my f&b operation class teacher .. A german, middle-aged, quite good looking, very experiance in hospitality, owned night clubs and had great sense of humour------bernard.

Today, i woke up around 10am and decided to watch a movie. so, made myself butter toast with ham and a cup of coffee plus an orange(gotta eat more fruits to prevent sick), i turned on my laptop and try to figure out which movie should i watch today. finally, i've chosen Transporter 2. this show was really good or may be i should say it fits my taste cuz it was kinda action and adventure stuff which i like.

The main character---Jason Statham was so handsome in this movie, there was a moment i think he had the chance to be james bond bcuz he was so perfect in that show!!! six packs, good at fighting, driving skills are pretty good, ex millitary force, and quite good looking----these are the qualifications a girl wish to hav from their future partner(seriously, i doubt there is such a perfect guy in this entire universe =.=). but anyway, this was a good show with excellent action, right character and exciting story line .. i quite enjoy it^^

finish my movie, go on facebook-ing awhile but basically not many ppl online, so log out after a few minutes. reheated yesterday's un-eaten dinner as lunch, have a little chat with mum and off to skul to have my f&b class..=)

it's 3.30pm when bernard walk in our class. after marking our class role then we start our class. here goes the conversation that make our class go crazy once more ...

bernard: u guys love me huh?

class: yea, we love u ... (janet: 100%)

bernard: ok, today we'll have another dinner in brasserie at 6pm ....(not finished)

class: YEAH!!! WOOOHUUUU!!!( the class go nuts and everyone hi5-ing each other like we've just won the national champion for some sort of competition, its crazy ..)

bernard: hey guys, calm down(still some cheering going on) .. lets go there and see their sequence once more and see how it works...ok?

class(still in crazy mood): yea!! no prob...

bernard: ok, now jackets off so it looks like a class and not a party, come on .. (pointing me and janet cuz we both wearing jackets) .. lets go in there and work out on the pars and the POS system..

great man right? bernard is not an officially teacher, he is just a man who is very experience in this field,but somehow he was invlove in teaching student in a college. weird huh? anyway, i'm glad that he come here to teach, thats why we can meet him ...^^

finish off our pars lesson and POS system, we went back toclassroom and do some wine pouring practice. and there he is, giving us lecture on wine pouring although we had done this last week. but he said if he had to place our class as a team operating in the brasserie, he had no doubt cuz he had 100% confident in us. wat a good news it is. u know wat? it means we're going to pass our final assessment, wahaha^^

after the wine lesson is the happy hour^^we all march to the brasserie and had our dinner. i'm in in the same table with bernard like last time, joining us is lulu, jamie and raymond. i had a cod fillet as main and souffle for dessert. let me tell you, its awesome!!!

the fish was so delicious and there is also prawn in it, oh, my favourite .. the fish is nice in colour, fried well on the skin and its crispy, well seasoned, there u go perfect cod fillet^^(in my point of view as a chef for 10 weeks). now, the souffle .. THE SOUFFLE !!! ITS SOOOOOOOOOOOO NICE !!! (sorry guys i forgot to take a photo of it bcuz it was too nice and i cant wait to eat it=) it has icing on the surface and its warm and soft, it just melt in your mouth when u eat it. imagine something is really soft and tasty, wow .. oh there is also ice cream, although its just a small portion but its good(well, ice cream is good all the time, right?^^)


there you go, the setting of the restaurant. every table is like that.romantic right? bring your partner here next time, its a good place to dine^^


this is the nasty place(erm, its not if u done everything correct). well if u're well performed during the whole service, then its ok. if not? u'll get the 'you're in big trouble' look from the chefs. BECAREFUL, YOU REALLY DONT WANT THIS TO HAPPEN !!!

so, this is my interesting wednesday. great morning, nice lunch, funny class but learn a lot from the real environment and yummy dinner in brasserie(thanks to andy, the chef in charge today who makes this so tasty=)finally, really a big thanks to bernard. he really teaches us a lot bout this field, i mean we learn it from practical in real environment. he sometimes brings his own experience and tell us the pros and cons of doing this and that bla bla bla(bla bla bla is the word he always said)and that make us have a clear view and better understanding in this industry.

but sad things happen sometimes. we, comercial cookery students will not have f&b operation class the next term. it means we dont have the chance to have bernard as our teacher anymore next term. what a sad incident T_T. he is the best teacher among all, i dont wana lose him .. but that is wat it is, except i change course but there is no way i'll do that. so i guess when term 1 ends, its also goodbye for us. well hope we can still meet up in skul^^

finally, i personally wana thank you so much. you have been teaching us so many skills and gave us so many information bout this industry. we really have a lot of fun and enjoy having class with you. you're a great teacher, bernard, you really are ..
