I love Brasserie !!!

Dear diary,

It's always a pleasure to have friday in the week. This is the day that I'll be having restaurant training practical in brasserie (college training restaurant) with a great team and our great teacher - Billy. He is a very professional but doesnt lose any humour teacher. By the way you work your way through and under his observation, you will get full feedback and he'll guide you to the best way.

I've learn a lot from him especially the fine dining service that you will be expected in 5 stars hotels. He was one of the founder of cocktails in Australia 10 years ago and had been travelled around the world to improve himself. He is even the management team for the dubai clubs. OMG !!! And he actually said that if I wanna go dubai, tell him, he can arrange it for me. My god !!! where to find this kind of teacher ??? love you billy ^^

So, back to brasserie. We had a great night today. Everyone was helpful and our service was smooth. Althought I had a 8 person table, but it turns out good =) Everyone was helping out and we work as a team. The chef even made us tiramisu dessert, hohoho ~ yum ~

Seriously Im gonna miss brasserie after this term cuz we wont be in this practical anymore after that =(( Im gonna miss everyone and miss the service and miss Billy a whole lot T.T oh gosh I really have to appreciate this few weeks left and do my very very best. I promise I will use all my skills and professional experience in my future, I wont let you down Billy =) I'm proud to have you as my teacher xD

Crazy 'Ipoh-like' weather

Dear diary,

I have no idea why I have the sudden urge to blog. May be because I've change the layouts =) Anyway just wanted to tell you the weather here had gone mad, and I mean really really MAD. It is like Ipoh weather here. yeh, I know i miss Ipoh, but one thing, I DID NOT miss Ipoh weather, hence, why you give me? =(

Waking up in the morning was still cool breezy and windy condition. Around 9 - 10am was even raining cats and dogs. But later when I finish work, the sun was like 'egg yolk in pan' .. Super hot and golden yellow (ehw, why I describe the sun like egg yolk ==) Whatever, just to complain to you that the weather was so crazy. I thought autumn is going to turn cooler, but then it varies from 18 - 31 degrees, lol ~

Haiz, bored at home with some movies and those piled up assignments. =(( Hate the feeling of dont feel like doing anything, like no motion at all @@

I'm getting officially paid !!!

Dear diary,

Wahahahaha, I'm so happy today because I'm getting officially paid !!! hehe .. After all the hard work of voluntary jobs, finally I'm paid for what I did. Oh thanks to Ernesto and Sumeet my two beloved manager and team leader for all of this =) I still have no idea of how much I'm getting paid for but I'm pretty sure it exceeds hundred, lol ~

Speaking of job, we had had a fun and wonderful service on friday night with Billy in school brasserie. It was a totally enjoyable night and suprisingly I have no fear at all. Dont ask me why because I dont even know the answer. It just did. Last service I was still so nervous to mess things up and friday I was enjoying and even playing around (of cuz service is still great ^^).

Billy just sit back and enjoy the food with a glass of red wine and cheese plate. See, he is so relax and that means we brought him no worries at all that he can actually sit back and just let us control the whole restaurant. It's a very good sign though xD We're half way passing this subject, ngek ngek ngek ~

There was this table that I'm on and the gentlement had a baby with him. He pointed to the baby when I handed him a beer and said to me : 'Hi, she would like a Whisky on the Rock !' Iwas like == 'ok, sure, I'll arrange that for you sir' LOL He was so funny ..

Anyway, I'm looking forward to friday night and have another blast night again, hehe.. great job team and of cuz our kitchen team ^^

Couldn't sleep because the weather is crazy HOT !!!

It's week 6 @@

Dear diary,

See, I cant believe it's already week 6 and I'm still hanging around not starting my assignment yet. Well not that I havent started, I've completed one assignment and one assessment. And more are coming and they aint fast to complete. It takes a whole load of time and I really mean a whole load. Dont ever try to start it the day before eventhough you had all the information, trust me you will end up whole night editing and editing till the next morning of due date. ( Ask the pro here :P )

So, it's week 6 and one of each assignemnt and assessment is gone. Now that I gotta focus on the ones that comes next. This term is really fun though, may be because I've change my course =) My interested field make me feel energetic to do it. Like really wanna do it and better everytime. I dont know how long this would last, but I'm pretty sure I didnt regret on changing and I'm gonna do my bext out of what I can. In a few months time Im gonna learn all the techniques and moving on to the next level. ^^

Today's weather was cold. Its was like one of the winter days, it even rains in the evening. Luckily it was not raining when I finish work, otherwise I'll be wet all the way. It's quite busy today in the hotel, we can actually finish our shifts at 1pm, but then some rich ladies decided to have their high tea in the spa == So we have to stay a little longer to prep and send it down. Huh, its 2.10pm and we're finally done, but with a $10 tips, ok la, forgive you la ^^ hehe

To mom, 2 brothers and aunt that are oversea now, wear more clothes and have fun yea^^ Take more pictures for me and enjoy the trip =)

Dear diary,

Hi. I'm sure you will be suprise that why would I be here at this time. Shouldnt I be out there partying? Well, things kinda change a little bit when assignments come to deadline. Our fellows are busy doing wine and accountings assignments, thats why we didnt get out tonight. But let me ensure you one thing, we're gonna rock the city next week when the assignment is done, wahahahaha XD

So, tell you something about my workplace and what I did over the weekends =) The hotel I'm working in is a 5-stared hotel with a one hat restaurant. Pretty high standard and it's a fine dining french cuisine. But dont get restricted by the qualifications and awards the hotel has got. I'm going to tell you how funny and friendly the staffs were^^

Ernesto and Sumeet is the manager of the restaurant. They were both lovely and full of humour (of cuz not during the service, if you make mistake-- not gonna be very nice, got it?) and the other staffs were helpful. Learning practical things there requires courage and memories. Well I personally thinks that courage is the only thing I have to overcome. You have to be fearless to walk up to customer and ask what they want, not waiting until they snap their fingers and said hey can you get over here? Then the manager's face is not gonna be kind anymore @@

Some small occasions turned up during the service that I wanted to share it with you. There is me and Dan (one of the collegues) are making coffees and juice behind the dispense bar and Ernesto sort of walk in and said a brilliant phrase to us : 'Ladies, get me a cup of coffee with no sugar please because I'm sweet enough' Both of our movement were kind of pause and our face really LOL-ed == Okay, Ernesto, if you think you are sweet enough then here you go, I handed him the coffee and he looked pleased to make us laugh for a full 10 minutes back there~

Having a manager like that in your workplace and always joke around, you will feel like enjoying your job. And it's true that the environment are suppose to be like that in a restaurant. Not only the customers need to be happy but the staffs need to be happy and relax to motivate them to do it better^^ I'm gonna love this place and I really hope they will hire me.. pls???

I'll tell you one more thing. I accidentally served the former secretary of USA ~!!! First, I didnt know that she was that special class. Ernesto arrange me to serve them some beverages and I did as he said. I even remember she drank a glass of cranberry juice == After she left, ernesto pulled me aside and said : you have just served the former secretary of USA, good job. My jaw was hanging there and I was in a : 'what? are you serious?' mode. ==

Wow, that the advantage to work in a 5-star hotel. You get to get in touch with the high class people and you never know that you may be serving your idol one day^^ OMG I'm soooooooooooooooo waiting for that day.. (I know I'm dreaming, dont wake me up okay?) LOL

Hmmm, thats about that much I wanna tell you this week. Interesting right? hehe =) tell you more soon ^^

Pool ~

Hey there I've decided to write in again. Due to the busy week I had and the broken-down-super-slow internet, I manage to have some time for you. Now that I've have some life out there only I realised that I really like to write in for some reason, may be that's the time I can deal with some words, who knows?

So, talking about life, we had a pretty fun night again wed night :) Fellows involved were crazy 4 (me, mina, adrian, zin), trang and nicky. Although it's just a few hours outing but it's satisfied enough to laugh all day. Craziness that we had were HUGE. Now why would I said that because I really doubt that anyone will do such nuts thingy besides us, LOL.

After we had dinner + Galaxy world (the place I got my new pet-stich, thanks to bro and trang^^), we went karaoke again. I know you always heard me going for singing but seriously places we can go other than clubbing at night is really limitted. So instead of night clubs we stuck ourselves in karaoke and I've proved that is better :p

Later on we went pool = snooker. Oh I love it ~ It's a new game for me and I learn it from our 2 masters - adrian and nicky . Thanks to them mina, zin and I are seriously interested and now we had one more place to hang out, haha^^ Dont think that pool is easy, it actually needs skill. The correct position, right strength to hit, body posture and a whole lot more~ hoho, another game to master :)

Well, Im looking forward to next wed, tell you more next week ^^

Different CNY

Dear diary,

Sorry for didnt write in for so long cuz I've been busy this whole week. Class in college, party in city and working in hotel basically took up my whole week including weekends. It's a busy week but I feel energetic. I'm not sitting around at home boring and doing nothing which makes me go nuts all the time. Now I had classes, party and work and my life is about to start going on well^^

So, for your imformation, I'm having 9 classes this term which is wow a whole lot. Assignments will be killing me soon, but mom told me : ' you had 11 subjects in SPM what, this is nothing la ' I was like =.= ~ mom do you know how 'well' i did in SPM? LOL ~ Anyway I'll be alright I think, it's not individual assignment after all ^^

Party on wed night is the night that we all expecting^^ This is probably the day that we all can party whole night and wondering around in city together ~ Woot woot ~ Bowling, karaoke, clubbing, blah blah blah .. pretty whole lot, hehe ~ this is what we call college life =)) Dont jealous ah ~ @@

Right, working in a hotel on weekends isnt very easy especially when they are breakfast shift and the course is buffet style. Puff ~ And when you're not wearing the correct comfortable shoes, it's a disaster ~!!!! Never ever try to put on new shoes that doesnt fit you when you're working and especially when you need to walk a lot. It's killing me for 2 days ~ bleeding on the ankle and you stiil have to walk on your feet for 6 hours ~ T.T

Anyway, I've sort it out now, bought a pair of new shoes and let see how it works. You know what the manager called me just now asking why I didnt turn up for job today.. ^^ I feel like Im hired ( may be just my imagination) hahahaha XD Anyway Im going to apply for it~ Hope they hired me^^

What a great life is starting ~~ !!! ^^

Worst CNY~!!!

Dear diary,

Honestly I have no plan for this coming CNY. I'm in the land of 'no CNY celebrations' so it would be hard to find something to do on this Sunday. Probably I'll be hanging out with friends and have a movie and go for karaoke and hang around in chinatown and see what can I find out. Thats pretty much I can think of, blah~ And unfortunately this sunday was also valentine's day, so my aunt and uncle was kinda wanna celebrate themselves, left me and her sister to plan for our own, LOL.

So, first things first, I'm not in the environment of CNY, and I'm not around my family, and I'm not in my house, and I'm not in my hometown, and I'm loosing all my angpau (well actually I dont care about that). What a CNY is that? You call it CNY? I call it another normal sunday which had almost the same routine as those other sundays had. Plus I'm getting a job in Observatory and it's morning breakfast shift which means I have to wake up at 6 and arrive there before 7am. Ala, what a good occasion~ Second day of CNY, I had to work~!!! Good, come on god, is there anything else worst than this? Bring it on~!!! T___T

What to do? Well yes there is one thing I can do, buy a ticket and fly back. Wow, it sounds pretty interesting^^, but the result is, my head will be on the ground before I enjoy my CNY. So, let's face it, you dont have CNY~ Whatever it takes to make you feel like CNY, just do it, cuz you only had one day and the rest of your family have like one week. Hah.

Conclusion, I have only one phrase for you, my dear diary :
-This is my worst CNY ever in my entire life.-

First day of College~

Tired. Tired is the word I had after the first day of college. Got up at 6.30am and I cant even sleep yesterday night until 1 something. Terrible preparation for first day of college. Anyway today was fun. Having my last kitchen operation with my beloved chef Jason was worth I woke up so early and go for this class. He is my previous term lecturer and he pretty good. I passed all my kitchen ops and he did really give good compliments about me, thanks chef^^

So, we cooked lamb shank and pork cutlet for the whole session in Crows Nest Kitchen. It was fun although there were just 4 of us (sadly we have to clean up the whole kitchen, T___T) and chef was in very very good mood. May be it's because the first day? Im sorry I didnt take down the pictures for you guys but let me tell you, the taste is AWESOME~!!! yummy~ I ate the lamb as lunch and decided to have the pork for bfast 2moro (would it be too full? LOL) .

4 of us took the same bus to college and jason left to city. I met up with ken and a whole lot of people, whoa it feels good to be back really. It feels familliar =) I also met up with whole lots of admins to finally receive my new timetable and get my course transfer done. Phew~~ hard work, running around in college but it's kinda fun, meeting everyone there^^It will be fun starting now onwards, hoho.

I'm more energetic and I'll be looking forward to class~ yiiipeeee=))

Bored Bored Bored !!!!!!

Argh~ Im gonna go crazy ady. Its been raining since friday night and I was stuck at home for the whole day. What a boring weekend I had~

It rains and rains since the day I arrived in Sydney. And now it's still raining, I know I like raining, but this is way too much I think. But I pray hard that 2moro dont even rain a drop because thats my first early morning class. Oh please be sunny 2moro, will you ?

Haiz, what can I do? Anyone tell me pls? Im gonna go crazy ady~
